Evan Silva - vocalist
Evan Silva is one of Australasia's top soul, R'n’B artists with a list of impressive achievements in the music industry on both sides of the Tasman. He has been singing since the age of fifteen and to date has recorded eleven albums. "I spent time playing both of Auckland’s main city clubs, the top 20 and the Galaxie, then toured. After playing the tv show C'mon a few times with my band ‘The Action’,I split to Sydney Australia, played the whiskey and scored a residency at The Eye ....the rest is history ...Compulsion ...Bell-Bird the Australian / Melbourne soap ...award winning movie vision ... years in the studio singing KFC, McDonalds and a lot more tv jingles ....recording albums, gigging with some wonderful players and still at it with writing, recording and performing. I do it because I love it, its in the blood."
Ernest Semu - Piano
An Auckland musician ,started his career in popular Night Clubs in 1979 with the “Hona Band” in which he started tv work with and cabaret work, backing many well know NZ artists, then joining the “Cairo”band and carrying on tv and cabaret work until the band bought a Rotorua night club for 8 years. Returning to Auckland in 1993 to join the “Azis Band” for 4 years domnating the nightlife entertainment at the Someplace Else Bar. During this time became Musical Director for TV Shows”Pete and Pio”,”Pios Place”and a musician for the Mad Mad World Of TV.
Ernest plays and sings in most Genre’s of music particularly RnB and Jazz and has 40 years of musical experience making him a sort after musician, arranger, writer and composer.
Alex Griffeth - bass
Alex has had three decades of performance experience with National and International Touring Artists including Randy Crawford ( USA ) Miguel Fuentes ( Puerto Rico ) Rodger Fox Big Band ( NZ )
Alex would have to be one of the most exciting innovative World Class Bass Players NZ has produced.
Neil Williamson – drums
Neil Williamson originally started playing drums in his home town of Taupo.
In the early 80s he studied with New Zealand drumming pioneer, Frank Gibson Inr.
In 1988 he moved to The Whitsunday Islands in Queensland where he played with a show band. He moved to New South Wales in 1988, where he studied at the NSW Conservatorium of Music, receiving tutelage from David Jones, one of Australia's most high calibre drummers.
Neil was exposed to a diversity of musical influences, while studying and performing in Australia. He played with many chairs musicians and around Sydney.
Upon returning to New Zealand in 1994, he has since played with many of New Zealand's finest musicians, in many genres including rock, jazz, blues, latin, country and has played in many shows.
Neil has run his own Music school for the last 20 years and enjoys teaching and mentoring his students into becoming great musicians.
Pete France - saxophone
Pete France Saxophone Gr us honors first class Victoria University. Pete has performed with a varied range of New Zealand artists Such as Rodger Fox, Stan Walker, King Kapisi, Peter Ulrich, Shane Cortese, Operatunities, Midge Marsden, APO, Coca Cola Christmas in the park and many others.
Internationally Pete has performed and toured all over the world at festivals and clubs with artists such as Natalie Cole, Randy Crawford, Tonie Christie, Glenn Shorrock (Little River Band), Diane Schuur and many others.
